Just recently replaced my battereis in the 130. I am still to tidy up the wiring. That is my job for this weekend. You will need to fabricate a new hold down bracket. I used some threaded rod and some scraps of steel I had lying around. I still cover the positive terminals with a sheet of thick rubber....

Both batteries were supercharge brand. Deep cycle is 105 amp/hr I think from memory.

I have two NZ70 sized batteries stuffed in there as well as the VSR (Voltage Sensative Relay) and there will a distribution box going in this weekend.

    See this thread for pictures:

I fully expected them to be stuffed when I finally fixed the engine (they showed bugger all charge) but they recharged fine and are still going eighteen months or whatever it is later.

Can't recall the size ATM, but they are identical.

I want to get one of Tim's new battery isolators to do what i planned to do with a marine isolator for starting and winch use.
I got ~7 years out of my first Super Charge Gold (Ca/Ca) battery (N70-size) and on the basis of that bought another 2 - however one has barely lasted the warranty period.

I have since switched to Delkor, as I got them for a good price. Will see how they go...

The Supercharge Gold battery we had in the Patrol (bought at the same time as the Defender ones) collapsed a few years ago so was replaced with an AC-Delco calcium-calcium one which is made in Korea.

It's been fine so far, except when Vickie forgets to turn her headlights off....
I think GM setup the Delkor battery plant too.
