The wave seems alive and strong. Heading into the tunnel in Melbourne on Thursday night in my County and night waved which was reciprocated only to have another Defender flash their lights and wizz past. Very cool![]()
Got waved to yesterday by a white D3/4towing avan and travelling west. Anyone from here?
This morning saw a white Defender pointing east with a van attached, in a rest area between Peterborough and Cockburn (if I remember rightly)- I tooted, but it was pretty early, so they were probably still asleep

Cook and I were out and about this morning and saw 3 Defenders within 30 minutes. Very rare that is around our area of Perth. She waved to 2 of them but didn't get a response.
Serves her right.

Maybe you were driving the Commodore?![]()
We were in the D4. Left the Bentley at home as I don't like shopping centre car parks with that..... we do get return hand signals but some are quite vulgar.

On Sunday past I got and gave a big wave.
'twas a snorkelled white D4 in Earlwood (Sydney).
It put a smile on my grumpy dial.
I'd hate to think that we were knobs let alone that we were snobs.

Past a D4 towing a camper trailer (I think) on the way up from Melbourne on Sunday, not only did he slide back into the left lane when he realised I was scooting along fairly well, but then offered a wave as I passed him.
I did try on the UHF to call him, but obviously he didn’t have his on, or perhaps didn’t realise it was me talking.
I had to take the Falcon ute home on the weekend to do some tidying up around the house. It never ceases to amaze me how many Defner's I see when I am not driving mine. I did manage to wave at a white 130 and funnily enough got a wave back. Monday I saw a nice D4 that had a family in it and got an enthusiastic wave from all 4 inside. Must have traded the Defner in on it I suppose.
