Do you know him? or just want to have a snoop around the place who converted it?
If its a 50th, would it be last of the tdi's or first of the td5's?

50th Anniversary Defenders were 4.0L V8 with 4 speed ZF Auto, and the colour was Atlantis Blue,...the best Defender ever made IMHO,...now fetching big dollars in the U.K.

    I'd love a V8 auto 90 for a beach car

No, I don't know the owner of the 50th, or the garage where it's at.
Wouldn't mind looking at the 50th though,...jeez, a 50th with an LS1, or better still an LS3 would be pretty much perfect.

If it was close to me it would be hard to resist giving them a ring to see if the def 50th was still there and having driving around to have a look and maybe find out a conversion price/issues!

There are a lot of Patrols and cruisers with the ls conversion, as well as a few hilux. Afaik most have been engineered.
You also have cal415 who I think has or is getting his county ls1 engineered as well as the short vid of the other defender with air suspension.

A lot of normal cars also get conversions so there should be a few engineers familiar with the swap and requirements.
    Here's a strange conversion http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-...692?nav=SEARCH
