Bummer that sucks! Always praises spoken about Alisport. I’ve been half looking into getting a decen intercooler. But am thinking something Australian made, to definitely suit the conditions. PWR it’s looking like so far...
what cooler did you end up going for as a replacement?

If PWR Intercoolers are anything like their Radiators, I wouldn't touch them with a 10foot pole.... My Puma had it's second HD PWR Radiator installed in it when I bought it (radiator replaced for the 2nd time by the previous owner about 6mths before I bought it and he still wasn't confident that it wouldn't leak again). Well when I recently checked over my Puma I found a coolant leak and yes - the PWR radiator is leaking again.... Spoke to MR Automotive and they informed me that they have had multiple PWR radiator failures, so it looks like a new factory one will be going back in....

Funny really, I had the nicest turbo whistle on acceleration after installing my alisport intercooler. I ignored it for years! After developing an oil smell up front I decided to take the inter out, Lo and behold header tanks cracked on both sides. Had it welded up, whistle is now gone.

I’m holding my breath as to how long it’s going to hold out for- another better one may be on the cards.

    Cheers
    Mal

Which one did you go with this time Neil?
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

Sorry for the delay replying! To be honest I just went with what Bruce Davis (DPL) recommended: Don't know the branding, just that it has cast end tanks, not welded from sheet aluminium like the Allisport.

(I see BAS, who supplied my old Allisport, now make their own and tout the cast end tanks being better than the welded types that can split).

The spilt in the allisport was pretty decent... about 4" long down beside a welded seam.

The silicone hoses Bruce provided with the intercooler are from Samco.

I’ve just seen this post. Can I ask which unit this is please? Does it obstruct the switches significantly? Many thanks
