Removed the back seats and built a 2 piece storage system, had the 80k service done and a Maptec remap done on the ECU. Goes like a train now, smoother more lineal pull thru the rev range, no where near as snatchy when backing off and accelerating.

The people that do the Tunit chip have moved over to remaps for TD5's 2.4 & 2.2 Puma's a lot of other LandRovers and some other inferior vehicles. I'll see if i can get some info. They had a special on from $890.00 down to $600 until EOFY.

Maptec is an Australian company based in Brisbane I think. Do their own software upgrades. Someone on the forum gave them a big rap a while ago.

    Afternoon Landrover Tragic's.

Just spoke to Justin @ ,Maptec; Address: 5/39-41 Olympic Circuit, Southport QLD 4215 Phone: (07) 5528 6466.
Justin tells me he has done quite a few remaps now in Defenders, for a company (the name escapes me) and
typical power increase is approx 25 kw (90kw-115kw, 120hp-153hp)with an increase in torque of 70-80 nm.
(360nm-430/440nm) I could have gone higher but I am not interested in having a vehicle that's highly strung.
I have also just had the centre muffler replaced by a 450 mm silencer, so I am keen to take it for a run tonight
    to check it out.
    Cheers Ian

Just spoke to Troy at Maptec, your posted data is correct he quoted the EOFY price is $1040 including normal price is $1600.

Im going to take the EOFY deal just need to find the 40min for them to retrieve the data from the ECU in the next 1 week & 1 day.
Mapping takes them about 4 hours then another 15min to load the re-mapping to ECU or you can jus wait the 4+hours.

    Cheers
