Yep, no mistaking the side tanks on the Hi-Flow. You should have no dramas with it, BAS products are top notch

Well, I put my BAS supplied ECU into the car and remapped it to the 150 bhp, while waiting for time to fit the intercooler and remap to 170bhp. Then took it for a test drive with my wife, to the hospital where she gave birth to our daughter... She didn't appreciate that it was a smoother ride.......

    Congratulations Lee.
They wouldn't notice the smoother ride on a magic carpet, when they're on their way to drop a pup.
    Cheers, Billy.

You're a little off on the temp calculations.

And there is no temperature safety issue with the BAS remaps.

Do you see the need for an EGT Gauge with the BAS tune, I/C. Have mine waiting at home
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Yeah I'm not really actually I was rounding the number off but actual melting temp is about 650deg c. I certainly wouldn't want to be hitting anywhere near 600

No td5 has ever melted from running 650+, the transit motor should be fine at those temps.

    Pure aluminium?

Or HypoEutectic, Eutectic or HyperEutectic alloys?
    Forged or Cast?

Part of cooling in a HBMEP is the flow of cooling air into the cylinders - and design to shed the heat produced..
