I was wondering about the risk of Turbo damage from swarf, and more than a little concerned.
Some of the Brits on Defender2.net even suggest that there's a risk of the sensor probe for the EGT unit failing and destroying the Turbo.
I'll still go pre Turbo but a bit twitchy about particles from the drilling and tapping getting to the Turbo.

(and grease)... and use a probe with magnet to clean the inside once drilled and tapped.. it grabs all the swarf.

Keeping it simple is complicated.
