    Good idea.
Does fitting that locker rule out installing a water tank on that side?

I just had a look in the Clutch master Cylinder Reservoir. No fluid, so topped it up. I can feel a rebuild comping on.
    Cheers, Billy.

Happened to mine...a puddle of jelly like substance on the driver's side floor well! The checking of clutch fluid was not part of the Land Rover prescribed routine service schedule so it was a neglected (dealer) service item. The temperature in the engine compartment can cook the fluid. My master cylinder gave up the ghost and it was replaced by someone who knew that this was an issue (not the dealer).

I might add that it was only my master cylinder that was replaced and not the slave as well. The replacement was a precautionary measure...you might be okay with just topping up the fluid.

The Catalytic Converter situated just below might have something to do with the heat problem.

Yes it definitely should be on the Service Schedule. In my lack of wisdom, I had assumed it was.

I think I might have gotten away with it. There is no sign of leakage. After top up, function has returned to normal.

    I imagine it does, Mick.

There's not a lot of room for anything else in there now. I have a 60l tank on the driver's side at chassis level between the front and rear axles so I was never concerned with the water tank in this location - although I do like the idea of it, with a wee tap at the back.

Having started to do some work for the local polo club which includes regularly pulling their horse trucks out of bogs, the signage has gone on the vehicle. Part of a deal for much reduced expenses!

I fear this means I have to drive more sensibly now.

What did I do to the Puma today"? Nothing much actually but did take a nice couple and their boy for a ride as they're interested in buying it. Then I cleaned up a tow hitch with ball as they have a small trailer they pull along with camping gear in it.
Interest in it is picking up and now fingers crossed they buy as I'm fed up with 2 vehicles in the drive and 1 on the grass..... and paying for all the costs that go with them.
