I probably started driving a Land Rover because of people like you. No, wait I DID start driving a Land Rover after I (a) got hit by a (mini) bus and (b) got threatened with being run off the road.

I also used to ride a motorcycle, and there the solution is big boots for applying liberally to door panels. That tends to keep the cage drivers at bay...

Might not work on a Land Rover with decent sill protection, though. Like mine :).
