Why would you bother, A second hand set of D1 Mag or steel rims are much cheaper than the addaptors.

I know this is an old post.... but it did answer my question regarding the D1 vs D2 Stud Patterns being different, but I was wondering if anyone have put 17" rims onto their Disco TDi's ??
The reason I ask this is I have a spare set of 265/70/17 M/T's in the shed that I originally bought for our Prado.... but the thought was to see if I could buy a 17" rim for my D1 and use them on it.....
Only if they are chrome and have rubber bands on them, otherwise i cant see why not.
See if dynamic make a set or Eastern Wheel Works here in Melbourne could.

From observation nearly all Mags made have too small a central hub area to be able to drill the extra large PCD that D1 and RRC have.
Good luck trying.
