Finally got a chance to look at mine today.. First port of call the distributor:- Vacuum advance almost hanging off, tighten it and check for vacuum leaks "all good" check timing :- way too much advance, adjust timing old school retard it and slowely advance it bit by bit after a drive around the block, Turn engine off and restart ahhhhh idles immediatley at 800rpm and sits there (i believe the factory tacho wont be precise) but for now im very happy with the responsiveness and power it has.. I'm off for a bit of a drive tomorrow so I'll jot down some economy figures to compare. hopefully they have improved ten fold.![]()
