Keep an eye on them. I had 25mm coil spacers with std springs in the rear of my disco for a while. With standard bumpstops, the springs were just starting to bind at full compression and bumpstop slightly compressed. Another 25mm of spring spacer would make it worse I guess.
Well I fixed the P gasket today. Had to grind the heads off two of the bottom water pump bolt, took a couple of hours to work my way around those. Fortunately the threads are fine and I had replacements - the lightly galvanized ones so all good. Took age to get the old gasket off - must have used super glue. Inspected the water pump, looked reasonably new with no visible wear on the impellers. Got it all together, put coolant in through the top all good. Let it settle with the top bungs out. Had a cuppa and cam e back out.
Drip, drip, drip...
Water pump seal has decided to pack it in. Ordered and new watyer pump from Mario and Heather.
At least when it is done it will have new radiator hoses.power steering hoses, new thermostat, water pump, P gasket and coolant.
But I would l would like to drive it again in my lifetime :P

Not much of a mod but beats the old Tattered cover. Will also fit the tyres i will eventually buy when i need them (245/75R16) More to come...
Removed all of the carpet, underlay and sound proofing from my Disco today. It was all wet, and I'd say it had been that way for a very long time.
Turns out I had holes on both sides, the passenger side the worst though most likely from years of a heater fitting leaking. I've screwed alloy plates over the offending holes until I can have it welded up. Luckily no structural damage, and the rear floor and cargo areas were fine.
Plates fitted.

Hi all,
Installed larger intercooler. Needed some cutting and shunting as was not a straight drop in...never are. Increased core from 65mm to 115mm so had to move radiator mount back around 15mm to clear aircon cooler core. Needed to cut radiator frame to fit larger intercooler as can be seen, then cut unused steering pivot under this on chassis (for LHD vehicles) as cooler now wanted to sit on top of this making it all about 20mm too high.

Then used some door bump strip D/S tape to fix some foam concrete expansion joint material cut to size around cowling to ensure air was drawn through intercooler instead of around behind.

Hope this may help someone else contemplating the same mod.
