I hope I'm as lucky as you, mines only done 130 k so it shouldn't be a lifter yet, did you break any manifold studs?

No, I coated them all in WD-40 (it was all I had), waited about 30mins, did it again, then about 15mins later once more. The nuts came right off. I'm 50/50 if they were even tight anyway.

Edit: I have the 3.9 V8, so my manifold is bolted in not studs, which is no drama. The studs are for the manifold to down pipe, which is where I had to use the WD-40. FYI the nuts are 1/2".

    Got bogged lol. Big TIME!!

Walked for about 8 kms to a mates house to get him to pull me out.
Horrible walk thankfully mostly downhill. Sucks for me i had steel caps on.
No mobiles or anything. No recovery gear at all. Was supposed to be a new radiator test LMFAO!!

A good bog too i might say. Deep in wet clay. Luckily i was only about 30 meters from a track so a mate in a datsun was able to pull me out with some good gear he has. Snatch strap, long extension and some nice strong shackles.

All in all a fun day had.

lol yea. I had one mate with a datto and another with a toymota there to help.
At one point we thought it would be a local farmers tractor or bigger to get me out!
Wish i had pics but dont

It was a GU patrol with a lot of extras! This thing blows away hot v8s on the road. A beast by all accounts. Actually pulled me out that well it bent the hitch points on the chassis.
That was first pull. Second pull it pulled me into a damn tree lol! Was always going to happen. I was deep and had to cut through rough terrain to get out. Almost needed an axe to get out at one point!
Snapped a weld on my bullbar during that tree tap. Thankfully no other damage apart from ego and a new weld or 2.
Like i said a fun day had. Making my mate and wife walk all the way to a mates place with me.....
I might be paying for that longer than i care to imagine.

Just went through the pics of your Disco and it just clicked that I nearly bought your car about 18 months ago, for sale down around Traralgon or somewhere near there. I remember it from the V8 for sale sign and that was the photo he used in the listing. I also remembered it because of the rims. Looks like its served you well.
