    Heres a vid of my 99 D1 300TDI. Pretty well stock so far.     I did a camel cut and they don't rub. As you can see I have no front air dam, they may have rubbed on there.
    The hit the trailing arms on full lock with the stock steering stops extended all the way. I just don't go full lock.

    how is it with the stock gearing? (assuming the FD is stock). Tossing up if I should go 245/75 or 265/75.

    It's fine. It's an auto though so manual may behave differently.
    I had 245 on before and can't notice a difference between the 2 sizes.
    I bough the Disco with 245 so can't tell you whether either are different from stock.
    My fuel economy has suffered ever so slightly.
