    changing the head unit in a 2000 td5

    hey all

    my cd stacker doesnt work ?

    so ive decided to change the cd player all together.

    how hard is it to change the head unit?

    any info, steps, etc would be great.

    Simple, I did this to mine.
    Remove head unit by fitting radio pins or coat hanger wire in 2 holes at side of head unit. Pull unit out(NB: Unit is only a single DIN unit with a 1.5DIN face). Remove cradle from surround. Fit new cradle, you can buy adaptor plugs from various places who sell stereos that will make it a plug & play set up.

    ive done it in many other cars, but never a disco

    how does it look with a single din?

    i have a dvd/mp3 thing i want to put in

    There is a radio post here somewere, if you search it will so you lots of different setups,

    it is worded something like what radio and show em,

    just out of curiosity, what did you search?

    i tried remove head unit, new stereo, remove cd player , and a few others and got nothing

    where can i get these adapters for the head unit????????

    ive called everywhere and no one has them !!! !
