Right'o I have a few photos to post but I'm short on time so I'll get them up as I can.

I pretty sure my cross bars were the wrong way around.

This caused me a few dramas because I did the passenger side first, I didn't see that the front drive shaft was sitting on the cross member. This prevented the axle dropping far enough to remove and replace the spring.

So changing these arond will mean I'll pick up more than the lift from the 2 inch spring lift.

Ahhh the joys of buying a second hand vehicle.

    As for shock lengths.

The Billies are just a little shorter.

But once you add the RTE mount, they are longer. The picture has the illusion they not together at the top but the holes are alligned (by eye).

The open length picks up a little longer.

Installed and compressed all the way.

Im still of the bump stops so the shock will bottom out before the axle hits the stop. This is bad new for the shock.

With longer springs it will coil bind first too which is even worse (crack mounts)

Just a mild bump stop extension is all you need...

Good work on your part though..

    Cheers

I thought I took some more photos. I'll have to check the camera. I had some with the new bump stops installed and at full compressoin the axle touches it by about 10mm.

For those who already have them installed.

What have you done with the external resovors in the front? Mine are currently held in with cable ties.

    Happy Days

    I went and bought some 25 x 50 x 3mm RHS this morning. I think 25mm should be perfect.

I'll post photos after I make them.

I'll just use the old bump stops as backing plates, weld the RHS to the backing plate and then bolt the new bump stops to the RHS.

    Happy Days.

Pin/pin are so yesterday. D2 turret and RTE lower mount? Bilstein motorsports have in the past also changed shock mounts for me (rise joints to rubber) but you will pay a bit for it.
    Cheers
