These are going in the front http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...n-springs.html. They are +45mm but other have reported they got more than 45.

I have masured the rear and it's more then Std but I'm not sure exactly how much. I'll post up the measurements as tomorrow.

I intend the reinstate the SLS rear end which is currently coils and add the 2 inch spacers.

    Happy Days.

[QUOTE=joel0407;1929193]Just worried about the bump stops now. I'm going to fit the shocks then lower the vehicle without the springs just to make sure I'm not bottoming out the shocks. Last thing I'd want to do is destroy them. I might have some stuffing about making bump stop spacers.[/QUOTE

How did you go with this ?

I have been inspired and ordered a set myself , i needed some shocks and this setup will cost not much more than standard here.

    Guys,

I am a bit confused on the shock lengths.

My D2 has approx 4 inch lift in it. What bilstein 7100 would be the right length?

12 inch short body 10" with extended length 28.06"and closed 16.03" or
12 inch extended length 31.34" and closed 19.61" or
14 inch short body 12" with extended length 33.34"and closed 19.61" or
14 inch extended length extended length 35.04" and closed 20.99".

appreciate your advice Tombie and Slunnie (guys are running 4 inch lifts)

    Cheers, Chris

Hi Chris, shock length is really determined by your spring free height rather Han the static ride height. Do you know these measurements? I'm pretty sure my shock open lengths are 655mm and then bumps tops to suit the closed length. I use 10" travel 6100's with rubber bushes replacing the rosé joints. I think Tombie may have used the 12" short bodies which give better travel within the package size.
    Cheers
    Slunnie

Front Springs and shocks are all finished. I just have to reinstate all the stuff under the bonnet I removed to get the shock towers out. Not much really, just ACE lines on the Driver side and turbo pipe on the passenger. It's near 10pm now and I have to fly to Maningrida tomorrow so it can wait until Friday.

I have plenty of pictures of the install. It shouldn't have taken me as long as it did but I spent most of the day driving around Darwin to find a particular grinder I wanted. I needed it to mod the shock towers to fit the external resoivor out.

    Photo to come

    Happy Days.
