Well here is my shortlist of options.

    02 210k with rebuilt auto -2002 Land Rover Discovery S Td5 03MY

an 04 SE 2004 Land Rover Discovery SE Td5 03MY

Or go into a V8 HSE - 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE 03MY
    Or
2004 Land Rover Discovery HSE 03MY

    I'd pick the 02.
I do like the comment "rare wood grain interior", had a giggle at that.
It's probably your best value for money option, although it depends on how set you are on an HSE.

My observations based purely on the adverts and in vehicle order.

    1. Looks correct to spec. Wood trim is after market and I suspect fake. Not rare at all! Leather steering wheel is from a 04 run-out classic. Would be nice to see a service invoice from a land rover specialist rather than Ultra tune but that is not a deal breaker. Subject to the invoice supporting the extent of the Auto rebuild, this has to be a real bonus. Appears reasonably priced.

    2. Is not an SE and I suspect not a 7 seat S either. VIN agrees with year. Leather trim says its a run out Classic, BUT its missing parking sensors, side strips, wheel arch moulds and badging. The rims are what is fitted to the base model. The 7 seater has slotted rims as on vehicle 1 above and it's also missing the rear bumper step which was standard with all 7 seaters. If it doesn't have SLS then its a 5 seat base model optioned up and I bet the extra seats will evaporate on a phone call. All things equal and no difference in mechanical inspections, car 1 above is better value.

    3. Presents as a genuine HSE. Leather on the seats supports higher Kms and probably a MUM taxi as rear seat looks like it has a bit of wear also.

    4. Ditto an HSE. If service history supports Kms then V nice. Interior looks to have less wear than 3 above. Still its under offer so you may have missed it.

My choice. Either 1 or 4 depending on what fruit you desire and importance of diesel vs V8.

    Cheers

    Steve

Same, if I had to Choose from those I would go the 02, cheaper leaving more money for mods and repairs
The 04 Td5 is not a SE, probably a classic or base runout with leather
The 2 v8 look ok, depends if you can fuel them

Makes me realize how good a deal I got when I bought mine

No SLS button on the dash, doubt it has 7 seats.
First V8 does appear to be well used.
Second one looks to be the better option.

Yeh the wood fraud doesn't look that great, a bit tacky IMHO. It's not the end of the world though.

Great tips regarding the wheel slots for the 7 sweaters! Helped my revisit my long list for any other potentials...

Yep, mine came with horrible fake wood. I've removed 99% of it and I must say I prefer them stock
It's important to make sure you're getting what the add says, little things like the rear step and the dash button are a good give away

All the 'Town' classics also came with 18's,even the 5 seat coiler.

The 'country' classic came with 16's.

I doubt that No2 is a classic at all,as others have said.It may have been optioned as leather.

    Nope. Definitely aftermarket.
