Do they fit the curved shape of the ignition lock? My concern is the squarer shaped corners impeding the key rotation and key fitting all the way in.

They do fit .....just. I also have one of the screw together units that I keep meaning to get cut.. the corners are angled so there will be no issues and the section for the ring to take other keys etc is better and stronger.

    Hang on so.....
If I buy a flip fob and have it cut, and stick my original key chip in it, do I need to have it re-programmed?
What does swiping it under the barrel do?

Must I do this every time until I get it programmed or just the first time?

If you have working keys you just swap the internals.
