    Angry Front Prop Shaft Disaster

    Hi All
Well my Disco series 2 TD5 2002 has just thrown the front prop shaft out of at all places Daly Waters NT. Shaft is one hell of a mess picked it up of the road CVs fell to bits. Does any one know where in the NT I can get a used or rebuilt one as the new one is $000s.

Should be able to get one sent from Jeep Connection to there - it might have to come down on the greyhound. I did mine about 6 months ago. Mine was $600.

Consider yourself lucky you just lost that, not more….

Can you limp to Darwin in RWD?

I got my Tom Woods one through them- around $600.

Suttons in Alice might get one on the northbound Greyhound? You'd pay a bit more probably, but weigh that up against the Daly Waters beer prices…

    Or try this one http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...ml#post2178679

    Front Shaft Problem

    Keato58
Attached is a foto of the T/F case front output Flange
just above to the right is The CDL spigot
if you have the shaft you have the CDL
with your shaft out you should be able to feel or see the spigot
it takes a 10mm open ender to activate the CDL
pull the spanner towards the R/H chassis rail to engage gear
hope you get this snippet before closing time
    cheers
    Paul

Hi Paul, a 2002 model won't have the CDL internals unless it has been retrofitted.
    Cheers

    Hi Bud

To get you out of trouble you should be able to a defender front tailshaft provided your not doing any off road driving.

    Cheers
