Power Steering is hooked up. Pump is on passenger side under injector pump.

No A/C from what I can see.

    My question is WHY?
    Why would you do this?
I would be more impressed if someone had done a Puma 5cylinder into a Disco 2 for a moderate cost , not the outrageously expensive British Tuner premium.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

My mechanic was telling me yesterday he has purchased the last of the fenders and is having the 2.2 taken out and the 3.2 from Mazda/Ford ute put in, apparently it bolts straight up to the box's in the fender, harness and ecu fitted then being delivered, cant wait to see it and even more would love to have a drive

It would be interesting to see how the driveline on the Defender would hold up with the 3.2 in it, I've seen enough 2.2's and 2.4's have driveline issues with the splines etc...

You could use a tdv6 6 spd box which would hopefully be stronger , lt230 will cope but diffs will require upgrades.

yes the mechanic said that transmission is what you use for the disco, from what he was saying he was using the original box as the bellhousing bolts straight up to the 3.2

Yeah same box but i would assume the v6 box may be stronger.

I would have looked in to using the Ranger auto and if needed adapting the LT230.
    Cheers
