I also went into the RAC shop in town and got a roadside assist package.
I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to get two different policies as My one also covers my Missuses Hilux as well.
I have never felt the need for roadside assistance But all the talk of putting landrover's onto flat tops got me thinking that it may be a good idea to have this.

Dunno what the RAC up your way has, but I have RACV Total Care, which covers a 'nominated' car (hers), and anything that I am driving ( well, they drew the line at the B Double ). $200 ish, and has paid for itself a few times.......

    Nothing went wrong.

Well it wasn't today but over the last couple of weeks. Went for a drive from Moe up to Lightning Ridge to take in the artesian bores. Thoroughly recommended - hot baths every night...
3500km towing the camper at circa 1.8t with not one but two hulking 17 year olds and associated food (lots) and impedimenta (lots). Nothing went wrong and used no coolant or oil from anywhere. Consumption was just a tad under 13litres/100km - gotta be happy with that. Car was quite low at the back with the bodies and stuff so I I might have a look at some air helper springs in the near future.
Come next month we'll be off to the races at Birdsville WITHOUT the two teenagers and their impedimenta.
    Cheers,
    Mark F...

Was the fluid green or pink? Pretty sure you need pink in a D2.
