SubscriberOkay, I'll stick my neck out.
I reckon the stories about the xrox bars shearing off when winching is crap, unless not mounted to manufacturer's instructions. They're mounted no differently to the ARB bar from what I can gather.

SubscriberThe manufacture or the people who installed it? Surely it wasn't done correctly. How many others are suing?
I might join them if I ever need to winch in anger.

AT RESTWithout knowing the full story it is not wise to jump to conclusions about these bars.
Was the correct type/strength bolts used when the bar was installed?
Was too much strain put on the bar eg using too many snatch blocks or an oversized winch that exceeded the specs of the bar?
Was there excessive jerking during the recovery?
I am not a "Fan" of these bars simply because I just don't like the "Look" of them But that doesn't mean they are No good, Heaps of people have the bars fitted and this is the first time I have heard of them getting ripped off the front of a truck.

Perhaps the concern is based on the wings being bolted and not welded to the centre hoop. However the plus side to this is that a damaged wing can be removed and replaced.
Cheers
