Thread: What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Something was slipping then it went boom, luckily i have 2 sets of fronts diffs haha

Isn't the TC meant to stop or reduce that? I've been on tracks and been told to put the foot down so that the TC kicks in and the drive goes to the other wheel. I do and it works.

The TC was working and was pulling the car out and then it snapped the cv

i doubt the TC has anything to do with it breaking. it was just its times to go.

Something odd too, looking at my bros dashcam, The moment the disco broke the CV an puff of black smoke come out and the engine light came on.

I cleared it with the nano com and it was fine

I didnt know if something happened from the engine side?

Did you look at the fault code before clearing?

No i didn't, was too much stressed as to what happened and the noise,

So i don't know, will the ecu log the code even if i clear it?

im guessing the drivetrain and engine momentarily locked up. the engine threw a code for slow speed (cam?) and then the drivetrain engine combo broke at the weakest point, which was your CV.

just a guess.
