    That Thunk

I am please that it worked.

I had a look at the driver's door retainer. Mine is noisy. They cost a mint. $400+ I can live with the noise

Have three door which make that Thunk! Just yesterday waiting around sprayed some silicon lubricant's on the door hinges, they still make the thunk but that is all!!!

You either don't live in the dusty scrub like I do, or you've never used silicone spray before on auto stuff, I hate it...

It's the worst dust attracting , dust impregnifier I've ever come across, I've had to systematically scrub (literally with a brush) all my door and window seals that any got on, and it will not shift easily.

Then there's the check straps.. Hinges etc

You might be ok in the city I guess.

    But that's just me!

    What's the road noise like?

I can always hear the very loud tyre noise of a M/T shod vehicle coming up behind me when walking the dog, and they always sound like the tyres are spinning out of sync, like an oscillation in the sound.

The only dirt my toy has seen since I got it is when I chuck a u-turn and have to swing wide into the verge !

Had to admit defeat... Belt Driven Air Pump

PASP is now officially a used part. Sealing it did not work and the expensive fluid flowing down was a lesson, sometimes just replace it. 'New' one sourced and in tomorrow. Brand new one on a boat for later as have found its not that difficult a job once you have practiced a few times. The shroud with EF and that holds the EWP is easily removed for space to get to the bugger.

Had an epiphany, I love ACE and do not want to remove to, but, Discovery 2 owners could possibly have the greatest opportunity ever presented if they don't have the benefits of ACE - space for a drive for a air pump.

How many other engines have the accessory space on the auxiliary belt to wrap around an extra pulley and belts off the shelf to fit??? All other instances of the air pump I have seen have taken off the air con and put it there, well no aircon here in Aus is not going to fly very long. Hmmmm

Funny you should mention this. I spoke to a rep at Endless Air and he assured me that their universal mount would bolt straight on to a v8 disco 2 (sorry but im not familiar with the td5) that does not have ACE What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
