Hopefully the next owner will love it as much as I have.

I just got Britpart versions .. see how they go ..
Pot luck with BP. you can get Chinese, OEM from India or Turkey or... or you can get genuine LR, and you won't know until they arrive.

The sticker on it says VEVOR. Just off ebay, only back in Nov I got them. Had to go back to my purchase history, as my memory capacity is similar to standard model particle lifetimes!
Got the two at the same time, came in at $311 and a few cents for the two.
Looking now through ebay, they seem to have risen in price quite a fair bit. The short handled versions were in the low to mid 130's.

I just hooked up the blue ARB compressor on the D2(already there when bro bought the D2) .. looks to be a 35PSI job. passengers side firewall area.
Anyhow, lifted whole front of D2 easily enough from under the diff. Just enough lift like that, where even with the lean to the pass side, still got the pass front off the ground(being 265/70 16) ..

Took it's time to lift, just as they do take their time to re inflate a tyre say from 15 to 40 or whatnot ... obviously not as much volume in these triple airbag jacks as in a large tyre.
Didn't time it, but maybe 1.5 - 2mins .. so not a huge wait. Still a lot easier than a trolley jack.

I've seen some 'reviews' on youtube about them. I'd say you can't put them all in the same quality category. One vid I remember a chap with an Impreza/WRX type low street car, his vid shows how jerky the up/down action can be.
Lifting the D2, I have seen it that bad .. in fact not so much really, but yesterday when we lifted the VW Golf from the sill, it did the jerky motion .. more so coming back down.

This arvo lifting the D2 from the front diff, car listing passengers side, but ground made the air jack lean drivers side(uneven ground) .. had a very slight rocky motion but didn't feel unsafe .. I reckon safer than the LR bottle jack at least.

Unless you have polished concrete floors, everything is easier than a trolley jack.

Cleaned my D2 2002 headlights today.

Washed with distilled water, dry with vacuum cleaner blower output. lots of droplets

Metho rinse , dry with vacuum output. Resulted in milky droplets inside.( I assume metho /water mix)

Another metho rinse , dry with vacuum output , then most droplets gone.

Rinse with pure isopropyl alcohol , pretty well perfect.

I couldn't be stuffed heating the lens off so just did it through the bulb hole . I found I didn't have to try to get a rag in as the bulb ring thingo stops that anyway.
All of the dullness was dust I guess as difficult for anything else to get in, although I had to take the seals off with LED bulbs for a while.
All in all pleased with the result.

Sound like a viable alternative to the bottle jack for sure and with having to relocate the jack due to the double battery tray, no leakage inside... hmmm

After I refilled my jack , I popped it in a medium zip bag so Ican see any leakage and it doesn't grunge everything.

Connector for Aerial Splitter and UHF Radio

Sure is funny how much time you can spend looking for parts.. Have the 2db and 6db aerials mounted on the bullbar and they come to a spiltter / switching box and then, this required a cable from this to the uhf aerial input. After much searching and today going around 4wd and auto stores trying to find such a thing. Didn't care if it was 200 metres or 0.5 just want to connect the splitter to the uhf.

Finally thanks to Jaycar staff, rather than making up a cable they finally came around to making this and problem solved. Was planning on putting the spiltter in the glove box and the uhf box where I have removed the cup holders in the dash, but nah, they can go together now in the glove box.

$15 and done, love it when a plan comes together - and got to get a brand new jaycar catalogue!
