    Cable tie the gasket

Online guide will be handy, I've not done one of these before. Likely to be the first and only!
Did this technique (twice as had to put the filter into the head the second time) but one thing that did help was to loosely cable tie the gasket to the upper hole when positioning the unit and getting the first two bolts done up, cutting the cable tie obviously when doing the last one.

    If you used Nanocom

Front Right on Nano means Front Right on Disco
    Front Left means Rear Right
    Rear Right means Front Left
    Rear Left means Rear Left

I am running 1.36b firmware but was same on whatever I had loaded when I got it 18 months ago.

    RAM mount

Having tried so many phone holders and such over the years, had always admired the RAM mount system, so today I installed one! Had measured the length from the edge of the dash panel above the centre console but this turns out to be too thin for attachment so had to go behind the rubber indent. Screwing into this required a drill attachment due to the angle of the windscreen but very happy with the positioning. The ram mount is an 18.5" and although the track is relatively cheap around $20, the ram balls to mount onto the track themselves are not. Other attachments -extension arms and attachment balls with 1/4" camera mount - are available else where by the way such as ebay and alibaba but the track ones are RAM.

You have given me an idea - I was considering a floor mount. ATM I have a RAM suction mount that I use for my iPad that is used for mapping applications. It’s been great so far but I’ve found that very hot sun on the glass will negatively affect the suction strength and the mounts can suddenly let goWhat happened to your Discovery 2 today?. I do have a screw down round base that I can utilize but hadn’t yet explored if there was anything substantial beneath the dash cushion to attach to - the base will sit nicely beside the Mud PodWhat happened to your Discovery 2 today? l might bring it forward to beside the pod.
