Today..... about a month ago I filled the disco up went to drive off dead duck.
I since have bought and fitted a new crank position sensor, new fuel pump, new Battery and have noticed a bad earth clamp to the battery,which I am changing tomorrow.
I have spark and I heard the new pump charge,it turns over but won't go.
Thinking a gallon of fuel over the thing might give it the encouragement it needs.
Any help appreciated.
very few things actually stop it running at all,,
CPS will, underbonnet fuel cutoff will, some alarm conditions also I think,, (the obvious Amcal Chemist one as well)
It is rare but under dash fuse box can have a dodgy circuit. Cheers
Presuming leads/coils have not been changed/mixed up so timing is correct.
Fuel line goes to fuel rail behind block. Fuel should pour out from there if you disconnect it.
Rollover switch cuts fuel pump. If no fuel pressure at rail, try bridging switch, located on LHS firewall (I think).
Passive immobilser (key and ignition barrel) prevents power to starting circuit. Yours cranks so no issue there.
Only other showstopper is crank angle sensor, which you say you’ve changed.
That could have been mine the day the auto blew 80 Ks after I had picked it up from having the auto changed.....:mad::censored::bat:Quote:

I guess the main advantage of the D2 is the zero offset steering which means the directional stability is much better than an RRC and I guess a D1. Probably the Watts linkage also helps .
Funny thing is the spring rates are much the same. It is more the isolation of the rubber bushes being not so good.

I'm guessing there is a spring in the tank somewhere. The pump was working fine, btw. If I find the missing spring can I just click it all back together?
