New fuel tank arrived today. Actually quite an easy install. The autobarn guy said ‘It’s a hard instal are you sure you’re ok to fit it?’ I said ‘I own a Land Rover - everything is hard! I’ll be fine’

Very frustrated

Booked in for another new windscreen tomorrow after a run in with a kite at on the highway two weeks ago. Call it a draw, ,windscreen smashed and bird didn't make it. He was a mascot for 300km as he rolled up the windscreen and got caught up in the roof rack. Found him whe I got home:bat::bat:

did the big road trip again today to head home for the weekend from KTOWN. Heard a noise as I was nearly home. Just after that stupid traffic lights turned Amber and I tried to pull up hitting the breaks hard. Wasn't going to stop in time. Would of ended up in the middle of the intersection so for safety sake kept going.

Now I had a loud metallic noise. :soapbox: Checked the hubs not hot , thought maybe it is a clutch throw out bearing or something. Moved the car and loud screeching coming from left front. Had a look and found the disc brake shield loose. Pulled the front wheel off to see how I could tighten it up. Having a good luck I can see a couple of threads from the side so it looks like the bolt holding the bracke shield has come loose. :soapbox:. No worries I'll just pull the calipaer off so I can remove the disc. Stupid land rovers :soapbox::soapbox::rulez:[bawl][bawl][bigwhistle] Of course you need a special tool.

So now I have to travel about 10 km round trip to get the new windscreen fitted inthe morning, ring Leigh atNIGHT CLIFF Auto center to see if he can have a look or if I can bottle a tool off him. Worried the bolt is going to gouge the crap out of my disc in the meantime and ruin it. Looks lie I will be up for new discs sooner than I thought. Bloody Landrovers any one got a match [bigwhistle][bigwhistle][bighmmm][bighmmm].

Caliper bolts aren't normal sockets..
