At the suggestion of Mario, I will be looking into the a/c drains once it’s back together. The replaced joint was greaseable, but maybe I installed it haphazardly/or it was cheap rubbish. Will be more careful the next time around.

alternator temp 90 degrees.
alternator voltage output not good enough.
time to replace alternator?
