It is a deceptive photo...Should have scaled off the piccy b4 posting it is a D1 rim which does fit the RRC - 160PCD but doesn't fit the 120 PCD used on the series, defender, disco2+ . RR2+

SupporterI gave up on getting the hub out and as I noticed that the ball joints were shagged, I thought I'd get them done. Kaiju came around and took the hubs of quite easily, the steering knuckle, not so easy. But the ball joints have been changed.
The diff swap starts on Saturday.

Well was off to the 8HP installer this morning, we were going to go over the work sheet and potentially look at how to make it quicker, potentially a day. So had D2 on charge due to it not being driven much in the last 6 months and the air compressor was intermittently coming on, strange....
First things first was a meeting at work for BACK TO WORK arramgements after shoulder break and then operation and stopped in for a short chat and coffee. One of the staff comes running saying my car has exploded and was bouncing up and down. Turns out the passenger side airbag had for want of a better term, pooed its pants.
Local mechanic did not want a bar of changing an AIRBAG, those things are difficult and no amount of reassurance could persuade. So decision, get it towed to the installer or potentially do it myself, two bung shoulders and no jack to lift it. Luckily called into a another shop and they did it for a slab rather than cash but trip is now tomorrow not today.
Was sure that I used the Nanocom to disconnect the SLS and set it to coils as used the schrader valves to lift it off the floor last month? Curious is this what has been discharging the D2 so quickly?
With the D2 up on the hoist, It looked peaceful, patient and willing & Pretty happy with the droop...

Managed to snag a set of ARB side steps off marketplace, gave them a quick clean up. Got a new radiator on the way also. Temps sit around 95 on freeway with 82 degree thermostat, I know that's still fine but coming into summer wanted some peace of mind.
Also did new front ball joints recently. Steel rear bar next then maybe I finally address the roof paint.

SubscriberIt should sit on 82 on the expressway. The fan should cut in at about 95 so IMHO that is far too hot for normal driving.
Mine used to sit on about 85 towing my van. Suggest checking the radiator for blockage or maybe replace the thermostat.
.

Closer to 93 now I look at logs. This is 110kph freeway with a few decent hills.
