    Installed new Thermostat today

This time I actually managed to get a 78 degree one after previously buying 2 from other retailers and they both turned out to be 92 degree ones.

D2 now runs at a lovely 84 degrees at highway speed with it and new radiator. Ready for summer!

There's a lot on here and other forums about this issue. Some even install an additional solenoid and switch to prevent it from ruining batteries.
Interesting. Not saying you’re wrong but in my 15 years of ownership I have never experienced this.

There is an issue where some won’t sleep. It’s not common, just frequent enough to cause some owners grief.

    Ours haven’t done it.

My nephew finally got his D2a registered today. Was an ordeal, whilst fixing stuff for RWC, he's inadvertently buggered something else up ... etc.

.. anyhow ... another D2 on the road.

I don't want to tempt fate, but I've never had the issue.

Was the car with ABS active locked with bonnet closed and all doors closed?
Funny i was speaking to a Neighbour recently who was complaining that his Mondeo diesel was sending the battery flat. Asked if it was locked answer no.

Nor me, I think lasting 4 months with a few engine starts and not long run times and the locking and unlocking is excellent.

Steel bar finally as the plastic one was disintegrating.

Got a new reverse light and some clips for the bumperettes on the way.

Put the battery charger on as I will not likely drive it for another 2 weeks or so. The D2 security system really sucks the juice over a period of a few weeks. Really, I posted just to give things a bit of a push there because we are almost at 1,000 pages of posts, which is fantastic.

    Cheers
