I started replacing my old rotors and pads with Delios slotted rotors and Akebono ceramic pads.
All was going well, until I found the caliper carrier slide up front for the drivers side was very sticky and stiff.
No worries, I have a full set of replacements from Scouse, whacked that on. Went to refit the caliper, couldn't for the life of me get the pistons to slide back in, also noticed the boot on one of them was torn.
So on went the replacement caliper from Scouse, only problem is I have no brake fluid!
So I'll have to get some tomorrow, do the other side rotor and pads, give the fluid a flush and bleed the system and I should be all good!

my d2 is hanging in there! the transmission was dying, but it seems to have somewhat regenerated itself and is again drivable whilst we save up for its trans rebuild! the steering got better when we tightened it up too but now its going yuck again. i think another wheel bearing is partially to blame, so see what it is like after replace that. hopefully it is ok then! if not, time to suss the steering box with a fine tooth comb!

I've still got a good D2 steering box and some linkages if you need them.

    New headlining

I used the car to collect a newly lined head liner. The next thing will be swapping them over. Next weekend maybe.

    Cheers

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

to have the materiel replaced $175.00

There is a place in Brooklyn or Sunshine that will remove the headliner shell, replace the material and re fit for about $550.

I like playing with the car and saving money.

Outback1 had one going for $220 fitted, I don't know if it is still available.

So why do we have this thread
As the d2 is a very reliable car well the Td5 is (Not V8`S)
Should this thread be What Did You Do To Your D2 Today
