Drained and refilled the diffs and t/case and I suspect this hasn't been done for a very long time.

The front diff fluid was grey, with the biggest magnetic sludge lump on the drain magnet I've ever seen.
It was as deep as the magnet is wide.
The rear diff was half as bad, and the t/case was really clean ??

I think it'll be rinse and repeat in a few months.

Measured the grease nipples so I can replace the one missing and purged the front uni's again .
I think I'll have to budget for a TW front shaft. The existing one has had the uni's replaced and DC centreing bearing apart and repacked in the last couple of years but I'm not sure which uni's have been used and it's been through some water as well as having that A/C drain above.....

    Brake bleed tomorrow.

I need to drop Mr Mario a line, need some more service bits in the next few weeks. I'll be doing some miles and towing a fair bit in the next month or so.

Through on the RHS and centre ridge in.
Straight down the guts going back.

I have to say that when the going gets rough, the TC kicks in and the Disco goes onwards!

I'm pretty sure I'm going with a TJM.
The genuine bar folded back into the bonnet.
But it means I get a new (real) bull bar.

The USI160 is staying on the Deefer for the new owner, as is the TW shaft.

TJM does nothing for me, Have seen them pretty mangled from insignificant strikes. But to each their own What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
I'll go and order a new deluxe winch bar and get it colour matched for extra sexiness What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
My blue d2 has a rotronics isolator for the dual battery system, it's worked fine but I'll give traxide a go.

No. I don't pay people to work on my cars if I can avoid it. The $200 I save and the peace of mind having it done right is enough to convince me to do it myself

TJM winch bar used to be made in Aus. Mine would be 15 years old and has had several big too strikes and nil damage. Don't know where they are made now. I doubt ARB is made here but who knows. Cheers
