Hi Crash, next time try this, Bunnings still do the roller 4361 but is a special order..
Cheap $4 fix for Discovery 1 or 2 window regulators - replacing plastic rollers
Finally fixed the passenger front window. One of the plastic rollers broke. Fixed it by using a nylon washer - window goes up, window goes down again.
Next on the list is to align the passenger headlight.

That may be true but by the time I drove to bunnings, rooted around and found the roller it would have costed me $50.00 or more and taken 3x's longer than me making one with what I had in my shed.
Installed new HD uni joints in propshaft last night/early hours this morning. Squashed/distorted one of the dust covers on the last joint. Insert sad face!!!!! Took 40 mins to reshape. Hope it lasts.

Any ideas why my TD5 is leaking like a sift?
This was a 2 minute stop. This naughty car wee’d out 2lt in 24 hours! So I thought I’d do the rocker cover gasket. Here’s the old one:
Unfortunately the previous owner put in a 15P engine so I’ve got the wrong gasket.
The other quite bad leak is the centrifugal filter cover. Seems both cover bolts cane loose...weird but a super easy fix
Whew, it’s not going to cost thousands to fix!

I finally got sick of pressing the unlock button twice so changed the lock setting to single point entry with the Nanocom. I only change the one setting but on writing it back to the BCU the Nanocom also changed the instrument settings to a V8 manual with no HDC or traction control. Was a bit confused why I i was missing a few warning lights on startup and ho gear selector status in the ODO. Easily fixed though, by checking against my master settings file. captured when i first got the Nanocom.
Cheers
Steve
