I hate it when my hoes wear out too quickly. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Geee that would be like the timer going ding on the oven... ‘it’s cooked dear!’

    Fortunately temp gauge stayed horizontal...

Oh I have an EMS in the shed waiting to be fitted, when I get a few hours....

I finally got around to fitting the dual battery controller after moving the dual battery to a different location. All’s going well until the plastic screw mount breaks. Crap! Luckily within reach is a piece of old aluminium sheet that I relatively quickly bent into a new cradle. It’s definitely not going anywhere now! No it’s not pretty, but it’s very functional & it’s not going to break.

    Fixed the fuel regulator leak

Took off the fuel regulator and fitted a Xr8 repair kit with new Bosch 4 bar regulator and new o rings.
On a manual TD5 Disco this would have to be one of the crapiest most difficult job to do.
Skined arms and knuckles turning into a contortionist. A defender is so much easier as it has room at the back of the engine, but not so on the manual TD5.
    4 hrs it took me.
However it’s good as no leaks...I did this job in 2012 and have only done 60000k since on same vehicle.
    Hope its longer this time..
