Nissan used to offer an option in Saudi for light aircraft type tyres for exclusively sand work.
They were like light aircraft tyres in that they were sort of V shaped with grooves running around the circumference.
While they were wide they only had a small width on the ground, but apparently the grooves kept the sand under the tyre.

This is why we buy Landrovers! .. bump? .. what bump?
I'm thinking that good placement of the screen(as it's adjustable) to minimise pendulum effect, where the screen is centred as best as possible, would be fine to minimise damage due to vibrations.
If the screen vibrated to the point where's it's hard to read, some strategically placed supporting stuff(foam and whatnot) to stop it shaking it's head off.
What I'd be more worries about is the rear design, which uses a small fan for cooling.
What happens when that fan dies? Hopefully the unit just shuts down when the sensors detect too much heat or something.
Assuming that standard heatsinking wasn't acceptable during the design stage, which would be reasonable to believe that the unit runs kind'a hot. If not, then why use a fan? ..
So if the unit runs hot and then relies on the fan to maintain it's cool .. then worst case scenario .. if the fan dies, or clogs with enough dust that it locks up(not an unreasonable assumption) .. what happens.
But as said ... good idea.

Width AND length is Better, I have 265/75/16's fitted to my 79 series and my Navara and they are bloody awesome, Unfortunately I can only fit 245/70/16's on my D2a because I don't have or want a lift kit on it But even so the 245/70/16's work bloody well and they haven't let me down yet.
I often see various 4WD's with flash looking mags and those stupid low profile tyres on them bogged to the diffs on what is normally and easy stretch of sand, Go figure.

I haven't looked it up but assuming it's a motor drive unit that pops out of the dash then as long as it does the basics while still all packed up all good. But if it has to be out to play music then I honestly can't see it standing up to corrugations such as the Cape where it's hour after hour of jarring where the whole dash moves.!!!
Cheers
