    What happened to your Discovery 2 today?



    Installed this bad boy... engine monitoring system.... only installed boost, oil press, oil temp (auto trans), coolant temp and volts. Still need to install exhaust temp, intake air temp (manifold) and 2nd voltage. Not sure I will bother tachometer and speed feed if I can’t work it out easily...

    Set alarms for all above....
    more functionality than a madman etc...
    And more than you will ever use... like the race/hot lap setting/memory thingy

    Popped into town on Saturday, a three minute trip, and most of my coolant dumped on the ground. Engine locked, sump over full. The low coolant alarm worked though. Car ran perfectly for 6 hours in the mountains the day before. Happy days, as someone here would say.

    Well, I suspect a head gasket was the initial cause, but possibly something much worse.
    No blown hose, just dumped out the overflow/cap.

    doesn't sound good unfortunately, pressurizing could b sign of the head, combustion gases going into cooling system

    Did you buy just the monitor and plug into all the cars sensors ? Or the kit with all the sensors ?

    If the kit, where did you put all the sensors, can you give some pics ?

    Yes, I'm sure you're right.
    I dare say I will be in touch with you if I find there is anything repairable. Can't even bring myself to look at it at the moment.

    Nothing really happened to my d2 as we’re in Japan. I did see this Defender tho. Sadly however it’s the only LR that I’ve seen in the last 2 weeks

    Bled the front brakes,, including replacing fluid in the front lines. I figure its probably due at 17 years.....
