Got out this arvo in between rain showers to tinker with the boost controller and attracted an audience....

Was hard to watch it drive away! But new owners planning to do some touring with younger kids towing a van, so another adventure awaits it! Least they won't have to do anything for trip prep as you'd be able to just jump in and drive around Aust......

Yeah I'm pretty impressed with the Prado, my brothers got the same and what really swayed me to get one after driving his etc....
Plus the amount of accessories and aftermarket gear is staggering!!

I have driven a few Prado's and i am still of the opinion that the D2a V8 is a more refined and and a more Capable 4WD But definately Not as frugal on fuel.

What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

My old D2 came home to live this week.
The young fella no longer used it, so I’ve purchased it back and I will now restore it to its former glory.

Battery died - wouldn't hold a charge after sitting idle for a number of weeks. Battery probably about 7 years old.
Put the 600CCA one I use to run the fridge in and it fires up fine but will source a better option this week.
Good to know the fridge battery is a good backup.

7 years from a battery is a pretty good innings
