What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

The question is, how much brake fluid do I pump through per corner, to ensure all the old fluid is pumped out? Lat year I pumped through until the brake fluid came out clean.
One method is find a different coloured suitable brake fluid to replace with... that will show it easily What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

When did you last replace your brake lines? As the vehicle at minimum is 15 years old they really should have been done twice by now.

Change brake lines? I've never heard of that. The whole metal tubing from the ABS modulator to the flexible bit or or just the flexible bit that goes to the hubs?
Have you seen the price for these?

    Thanks

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Just the flexible rubber sections.
Worth looking at PTFE versions. They give a much better pedal feel also.

It’s in the service schedule too What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Thanks for the info on this. I do not have a lift, will these be too long?

re water in the brake fluid - what I do at every oil change interval is to syringe the brake fluid from the reservoir until almost empty (about 9/10ths would better describe how much) and top up with fresh fluid. What benefit does this have.... Brake clamping generates heat in the caliper which sets up thermo convection current and the fluid will circulate and intermix re-freshing the whole system. Try it with Bendix blue fluid - check the colour a week later [wink]. The benefit is good pedal feel always and no fade.
