These blokes do my rego checks, so I have to be a little careful, and I was allowed in the truck cab as I was a local, currently no passengers allowed in any NRMA tow truck/tilt tray.

I can straighten this one easily enough, but it'll only get bent again

I hope it doesnt, you dont see too many bent steering links in a Disco2.
    Cheers

    Interesting.

They are definitely a larger OD than a 110/130 version by 3-4mm and I wonder if the better scrub radius helps here, reducing loads when jammed in a rut?

AFAIK the oil filter cartridge spins and centrifically forces the oil through (itself) the media,, aparently you can here it spinning on shutdown..
its was a bloody good inhouse idea..

Some you can hear and some you cannot - in my experience the “genuine” or OEM filters are silent. I have noticed that non genuine filters are a looser fit on the spindle.

It’s usually the opposite. The genuine can usually be heard spooling down on shutdown.
