Another Discovery weekend it's been leaking from both ends - the D2 I mean.
Front:
Replaced the cam cover gasket which was leaking almost all the way around - the old one was an aftermarket and after a few years has gone rock hard - lashed out and bought genuine which is quite supple in comparison.
Also noted that the grommet rubbers are pretty hard so have ordered a set of them.
Rear:
Diesel leak while running. Suspected the green hose rub through and that's what I found.
I vaguely remember this was done way back in the day when it was a technical bulletin item and the leaking hose was labelled 2004 in my 2002 car.
There was no protective wrap on the hose which has been mentioned in a number of posts I found.
LR still have the hose available can pick it up today as LR are within my 5km radius in Melbourne will find something to wrap it with for protection if nothing supplied.

Getting prepared for a new CAT battery and I’m considering upgrading the battery cable terminals - looks like I’ll need new longer cables because cutting the old terminals off will render the cables too shortand whilst I was in there i snapped a pic of my TRAXIDE Head Light wiring upgrade install for general interest and because the question of relay placement was recently asked on another thread.
The relays are high and dry and out of sight when the battery cover is in place, power for the relays is taken from the nearby fuse box main power feed.

Well, something went bang today! I'll start a new thread to see what people think, but I don't think there will be any good news coming from it.
