Did you have much oil come out of the intercooler?

Contracted provider I have had for years.

What happened to your Discovery 2 today? ...There was a moist oily film inside but I was surprised to find that no oil was pooling in the bottom of the core - as others have reported. I did however, install a flashlube catch can at 400,000kms (ODO reading) back in Oct2019 and so I assume that over the last 40,000km any oil that may have accumulated has been pulled through. Note that over that period I’ve collected 1 litre of oil from the catch can so the potential was there for pooling. The inlet manifold was very bad with about 5mm thick of black sludge in the main chamber. It looks like new now, after a good soak. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Mine did that too, but after welding from the back it has never cracked again. Are your studs stripped?

Yes, the car came like that.

This was welded front and back.

Mine did it too. I assumed it had been hit, as it protrudes past (protects?) the fragile bumper.
