Thanks Bohica.
Sounds like I need to do some research. My egr cooler is still in place. Does this mod restrict oil cooler coolant flow?
My D2a is running a late 16p (or so it seems). That said I ordered a new accelerator pedal assembly potentiometer today to remove the hiccup.... Alice and Uluru trip with 3 kids and camper trailer in April....oh and the wife...
Plenty of preventive maintenance in next month....

.......... seriously though, the weeping could be a symptom of rising crankcase pressure, I recall that you have a PROVENT installed, which in effect makes the factory Crankcase Depression Regulator redundant. So if you haven't already done so, consider deleting the CDR and replace it with an elbow fitting and the valves within the PROVENT will regulate the crankcase pressure and the weep may cease - it did for me.

Sir, that long white antenna was welded on the top of the battery guards. LOL.
It was the morning I waked up at Goulburn McDonald, a long towing trip from Bega back to Sydney with a 3.4T combined trailer and Prado 150 hanging at the tail of my D2, and walked back to the car with a hot short black and realised someone fitted that antenna on top my car ;D Couldn't stop laughing at that moment.![]()
You also may need new insulators/bolts as it is the rubber insulator which holds the rocker cover down. They compress with age.Did a little sneaky, cheeky nugget run to the SA Border near Mt Gambier. 800 odd kms, 91/2 hours with breaks. No loss of coolant. Yay a win.
But bugger me sideways. The rocker cover gasket that was replaced in Dec 2019 has some weeping on the inlet side. All the bolts were tightened with a torque wrench. The gasket was an OEM one, I think.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this? Use a genuine gasket? etc?
I have been thinking of making up washers from shim material to place under the rubber washers as the bolts are to me quite expensive.
In my case the leak is usually from the little half moon at the back where the camshaft bore was drilled. I have tried lots of sealant, a little bit and all in between but I still have a little drop of oil on the ground.
Also Land Rover original gaskets are best.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
