And I bet it was the LH hot side.
Makes the struggle of replacing mine at 220K worthwhile.
You have no idea of the peace of mind it brings!

SupporterAlways the left.. it doesn't run at very high pressure really, as can be seen by the flimsyness of the stock cooler.
I guess over the journey, hundreds of heat cycles the hose probably deteriorates and shrinks, the crimp is no longer tight enough, Nek Minit.... the road looks like you killed an elephant.
Cheers

						SubscriberYup, left side.
Luckily it happend at work. So our airport firefighters came and cleaned the road and not the officials outside, which I would have to pay…
Got Spareparts and oil yesterday, new line is in. Fresh oil today. Then back on road again.

SupporterWhat gets me is the metal fitting on the other end of the hose has a much larger sharper ridge on it which stops this from happening, so why design one end 'properly' and one end inadequately?
Did they use off the shelf supplier fittings perhaps?
With no fuel cooler/heater I just have the two rubber sheathed nylon lines straight to the fuel pressure block.

The fuel return hose has a button on each side of the black thing which I had to bend a pair of offset needle nose pliers to undo.
maybe the OP can clarify.
Regards PhilipA
