What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Just back from a 4 day sensational trip up to the deserts in Vic, lots of bouncing and scrabbling.

Didn't solve the solenoid issue of releasing air (now know where the problem lies but have to chase the wire etc.) but was able to pump the bags up and deflate them to height via the air push fittings.Had all sorts of issues with the rear electrics but that is probably to be expected when it rushed before going away. Couple of fuses decided to depart this earth and empty the full 100 ah Lifepro. Have also subsequently found that a compressor is not a good idea connected the Lifepro, direct to the ignition battery's only from here, just wasn't able to 'fix' it on the trails.

Thanks to ONEBOB's giving me the idea for the fridge wonderwall, worked wonderwallily!

The JFlex inflator and the four way tyre snake worked an absolute treat, even deflating the tyres was minutes without having to remove the Schrader valve and retighten etc. Put the snake on, set the pressure and psssssssshhhhhhhh. Inflation was more problematic due to the battery flattening immediately, but did it in four or five steps, recharge inflate wait, recharge inflate wait etc. The half minute or so bursts of air to all tyres would give it few psi before pressure checking. These have to be my favourite mods, even better than the RTT, so easy to do, make a cuppa in the Jetboil while doing tyres, priceless.

I drove from Williamstown to Echuca, then back to Williamstown to pick the equipment I left behind, then drove to Deniliquin. Some of the roads up here are really muddy!
I replaced the passenger side brakelight. I also replaced the centre brake light. The cover is vary faded, so I thought I give tit a wash. This removed all of the paint!

Got the headlights polished by a professional
$150 at my work.
Came up a treat.
Difference at night is really noticeable.
Now i will return the kit back to Repco and get a refund of so really only cost $75 more than DIY.
He did more steps than in the DIY kits

Replace and inverted spare wheel carrier so i can get bigger tyre on spare.

Billies have arrived and waiting for Dobinson Springs to arrive

Did 1200km round trip to the Desert then mildura and echuca, motor was fantastic especially with the remap good low down power and retuning 12.4L litres per hundred on 35s fully loaded

Next step to to get my hands on alives GTB600 turbo kit and get close to the 300hp they made haha

Drove down from Deniliquin today. It is so nice not having the diesel leaking, and having a starter motor that works. The economy is back to normal. The unused roof rack is a bit noisy but!
The car as sweet as. It is such a joy to drive.

I have had the dobo springs and Billy shocks for a long time now mate. Fanastic combo and never gets busy. Cheers

Old got got a suspension upgrade! Mostly to support the weight of my off road powerchair, especially when itshanging out the back on the hoist. Bur wow drives so nice

I asked about the life of wheel bearings a while ago. Seem for me the number is 290,000km. Front Left replaced (Thanks DPL!). It's booked in for some follow up work on the AC (TX Valve), so I've added 3 more wheel bearings to the job.
