Td5, since then it's played up twice with M&S flashing (fixed on restart) and today I finally plugged nanocom in and cleared P0705 position switch fault, so guess water got in selector switch. Am pulling it all out starting 30th to put in the ashcroft kit/V8 converter so will give it a good looking at then.
It's got disconnected transmission wires dangling under there too, since I got it but haven't attended to them, the plugs are awol and crimp connectors on instead. The high/low switch works but I have two other pairs not connected, 1 pair I assume is the diff lock switch but there is a second switch near the diff lock switch which I have not yet seen on pictures of the removed transfer cases I see online.
I haven't really worried about the flapping wires as the crimps on them are insulated and I have no use for centre diff lock for the time being, but will be looking more into why I have that third switch in there as I will have plenty of room to rerun/repair the underbody connectors for the trans once I pull it out.

No pic sorry - not enough handsso when holding the tanks on a flat surface, side by side and level as they would be when installed, and see that the caps are visually about the same height.
So I got out the vernier and measured from the two mounting pegs under the tank and up-to the cap and I find that they were both within 5mm of each other.
Hope this helps ….
