Putting it back together, temporarily, and went to maybe fit my spare rad. Hmm. The inlet/outlet that comes from the fuel cooler, on the spare they are restricted, with small passages for the coolant. On the original, they are not, they are simply open. Is that usual? Is it a D2A thing? AFAIK both are the early car rads.

There was a modification to the later radiators, I can't remember exactly but from memory new radiators should come with a little restrictor that can be used depending on the coolant system in the vehicle.

I think all new radiators are the same and can be used on either early or late engines.

Which is why a mate of mine will not accept a lift in my D3.

Yep, early ones had 2 chambers, one of them being a dedicated fuel cooler circuit.

Later have 1, which is used with a restrictor

Are you sure it's not because he wants to be certain about his arrival

Just wasn’t sure if two D2 coolers would work in the OKA. I’m also still wondering about the 37s on the Disco. I think it would need a Bactrian camel cut.

Oooh, I run up to 35's on mine and its a guard trim and suspension lift. I think with 37's you're getting into inner guard territory and getting clearance for the front and rear of the inner guards is hard as lift doesn't give you much clearance there. It might be a lot of lift, a big hammer, a mega Bactrian camel cut or all of them!

Dispense with the doors and introduce a larger sunroof. Maybe go skid steer, ala Bobcat.
