    The injectors and throttle pedal are obviously different to each other.

    I don't believe that you need a 2 track sensor for EU2 and a 3 track for EU3.

    The extra track is basically only for error checking.

    Me neither as i've seen all kind of setups and improvisations and in some cases the Td5 can run quite well even with the wrong tune, a while after i bought mine in 2007 and knew nothing about it i found oil in the ECU plug and when i removed the cover i realised that it was fitted by the PO with 2 green tops and 3 black ... then my maniacal obsessive-compulsive research has begun... and it's perpetual

    my insistence is on how they left the factory and all Eu2s had 2 track pedals and Eu3s 3 track while these 2001 "hybrids" had Eu2 fuel map in the MSB101330/340 as you confirmed earlyer while on the first modells the pedals were 2 track(set to 3 in the ECU), 3 wire airbox sensor, green top injectors which afaik need Eu3 fuel map to run perfectly and the Eu3 map was originally configured for the 4 wire airbox sensor with temp input

    Tighten the wastegate rod one thread at a time untill it overboosts then one back... if no overboost the turbo cartridge might be worn... or wastegate stuck open... or there is a boost leak(that would be revealed by the airflow reading which on your's is disabled)... or it's underfuelled for some reason... in a nutshell: you need a bit more boost

    I wound it up a turn and a half to get the boost up from.86 to 1.13ish but it doesn’t seem to want to go higher when I turn it more. I was a little nervous to go more. Might save up for a hybrid.

    those were the figures reported by the nanocom prior to the csv recording

    Better fit a proper ECU cos it might be the main issue... i don't trust that bodged ECU at all, remapping this one it's silly IMO

    Hmm. The ECU has been there for 15 years, to my certain knowledge, and more likely at least 20, as the PO bought the car new. That said, if the car can do better than now and still maintain its fuel economy I'd be happy. Fuel on the highway is 10/100 laden, not so good around here where it can be steep.
