Must've been.
Actually it was pretty standard except for the rear bar, and looking at your signature it obviously wasn't yours!![]()
Looks great Waz!
I'm starting to think about getting stuck into the a bar for our D1. I like the checkerplate top because of the wear and tear.
Hi Waz
thanks for posting the pics. Does the guy who made the bar for you want anymore trade as I woundn,t mind buying one
anyone thought of making an aluminium rear bar, thats what i am thinking of cause im a ally plate boat builder by trade the different types of extrusion you can buy in ally now is endless!!!
Here is mine. I had it made by valley engineering in Research/Eltham, Melb. For i think about $700 (it was a couple of years ago now). After replacing 2 genuine bars within two weeks i had had enough. Its made from 50mm steel. The less of an overhang the better. It protrudes past the rubber strip under the door about 15mm and it never bottoms out anymore. Also it has slide/bash plates under the corners which help in the rocks.

Ok, after much procrastination, I decided to give building a bar a go.
A very big thanks to Slunnie, as it is basically his design that got me going.
I am already planning V2.0 as there are a couple of things that I want to change.
